I have a background in History, with a Bachelor’s (2016) and Master’s (2018) degree from Moscow State University — but it was through the camera that I finally started speaking in my own language.

I picked up a camera in 2015 and haven’t put it down since. In July 2017, I joined an anthropological expedition to the Altai region as both

a historian and a photographer.

The result of that journey was "The Voices of Altai" — a project that still holds deep meaning for me.

In 2018, the MOSCOVITE project was born — a visual narrative dedicated to the layered history of Moscow. I’m a co-author of the project and its sole photographer.

My current focus lies in documentary photography and visual anthropology. In 2020, I co-created two short films about the Altai region — Talking with the Ancestors — alongside my friend Katya Larkina. I handled the filming, editing, and storytelling. You’ll find them on the Projects page.

From 2022 to 2024, I worked as a photographer and visual anthropologist at the Institute of Anthropology and Ethnology (Russian Academy of Sciences), continuing to explore the intersections of culture, history, and image.

​

In 2024, I relocated to Canada and now live and work in Ottawa — where I’m open to new collaborations and stories worth telling.

These days, I shoot a lot of events, portraits, and reportage photography — from sports to festivals, I’m drawn to energy, movement, and the candid moments in between.
